Fraudulent Impersonation of BMD Securities Ltd.

We wish to inform you that BMD Securities Ltd has recently become aware of attempts by unknown persons to impersonate our firm and communicate with clients or members of the public through unauthorized messages and emails.

We have also received information that a person who may or may not be our client received a message from the sender/domain “AX-BMDSEC-S”. Please note that this message was not sent by BMD Securities and is not an authorized communication from us.

Clients are requested to:

Ignore and do not respond to any message, email, call, or communication claiming to be from BMD Securities unless it comes through our officially registered contact details.
Do not click on any links or open attachments received from unauthorized sources.
Do not share your login credentials, OTPs, passwords, account details, or other confidential information in response to suspicious communications.
If you receive any communication claiming to be from BMD Securities from a source other than our registered/official contact details, please inform us immediately so that we can verify and take appropriate action.

SHORT SELLING DISCLOSURE BY CLIENTS

This is refrence to SEBI Circular No SEBI/HO/MRD/MRD-PoD-3/P/CIR/2024/1, dated January 05, 2024 regarding framework for short selling. SEBI has mandated that “The institutional investors shall disclose upfront at the time of placement of order whether the transaction is a short sale. However, retail investors would be permitted to make a similar disclosure by the end of the trading hours on the transaction day.

You are rerquested to take note of circular and accordingly disclose us about short sell transactions by the end of transaction hours at jprathi@bmd.net.in on the transaction day, statement issued by NSDL/CDSL.

Steps To Check Your KYC Status

What is Know Your Client (KYC)?

Know Your Client (KYC) means identifying and verifying the client’s identity and the identity of the beneficial owner through documents submitted for Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) in compliance with rules, regulations, guidelines, and circulars issued by the Board or any other authority for Prevention of Money Laundering from time to time.

Steps to check your KYC Status:

Visit any of the above KYC Registration Agency’s (KRA) website to check the status of your KYC.
Click on “KYC Inquiry” link, is available on the respective KRAs websites.
Enter your 10-digit PAN and Captcha and click on Submit.
Your KYC Status will be displayed as 'KYC Validated/KYC Registered/KYC On-Hold/UnderProcess’

What does each KYC status mean?

KYC Validated:

KYC is registered successfully.
You can seamlessly transact in securities market without the need for re-submission of KYC documents.

KYC Registered:

You can continue making transactions in your Trading and Demat account without any hassle.
You can get your KYC status changed to ‘KYC Validated’ by doing the KYC Update/KYC Modification process using PAN and Aadhaar from XML, Digi-locker, e-Aadhaar PDF or M-Aadhaar.
Once your KYC status changes to “Validated” you can invest in securities market without any requirement of re-KYC.

Under Process:

This status shows up if the KYC is recently updated and under processing at KRAs. It takes up to a few days for the KYC status to be updated.

KYC On-Hold/Rejected:

The KYC status on the KRA’s website shows the reason for ‘KYC On-Hold/Rejected’ status; it could be: Mobile or Email not validated/PAN is not linked with Aadhaar/Deficiency in the KYC documents etc.
Please contact us for rectification of discrepancies in KYC documents.
Once your KYC status changes to Registered/Validated you will be all set to start transaction.

RISK DISCLOSURES ON DERIVATIVES

9 out of 10 individual traders in equity Futures and Options Segment incurred net losses.
On an average, loss makers registered net trading loss close to Rs. 50,000
Over and above the net trading losses incurred, loss makers expended an additional 28% of net trading losses as transaction costs.
Those making net trading profits, incurred between 15% to 50% of such profits as transaction cost.

Precautions for clients dealing in Options

Dear Clients,
NSE Vide its circular dated July 06, 2022 has informed the trading members to carry out due diligence of all those clients wishing to trade in derivative segment of the Exchange more specifically in the Options segment to avoid any kind risk/threat that may occur as the derivative Products are not designed for general Public whose Income does not support the trade Position in Options.

Further in line with this circular all clients trading in derivative segments are informed to kindly update your financial details/income with us so as to avoid disallowance of trading in derivative Products.

Our compliance department will analyse the Income details with the turnover and in case of any serious deviation your account will be blocked for trading in derivative Products and it will be at the sole discretion of BMD Securities Further Please also note that following actions needs your attention at all times and request you to desist from following activity to ensure smooth Operations of your trading account maintained with us.

Sharing of trading credentials – login id & passwords including OTP’s.

Trading in leveraged products like options without proper understanding, which could lead to losses.

Writing/ selling options or trading in option strategies based on tips, without basic knowledge & understanding of the product and its risks.

Dealing in unsolicited tips through WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube, Facebook, SMS, calls, etc.

Trading in “Options” based on recommendations from unauthorised / unregistered investment advisors and influencers.
